My name is Nicole Wittmann. As a translator, I help customers reach an international audience and assist them with their multilingual business communication. The languages I work with are German, English, Spanish and French.

I've been working with languages for over 10 years. After my studies to become a certified Multiligual Management Assistant, I spent several year working in Export and Customer Support departments of international companies where, in addition to business correspondence, my responsibilities also included translation of corporate documents, technical mauals and marketing material.

I've always had a passion for foreign languages and cultures, which is why in 2017 I decided to go on a trip around the world - something I had been dreaming about for many years. While travelling in Europe, North and South America, Oceania, Asia and Africa, I was able to hone my language skills and learn a lot about many different countries and cultures.

The name hummingword translations is also inspired by my travels. In South America, I was lucky enough to see hummingbirds in their natural habitat. Admittedly, it didn't take long for them to vanish from sight again, but they impressed me. Did you know that, among all birds, hummingbirds have the most engery-effective way of flying? Being very flexible, they hover in the air or move in all directions - even backwards - while they beat their wings about 80 - 100 times per second.

Working as a self-employed translator, I like to take a leaf out of the hummingbird's book and make my work fast, flexible and efficient.
